Department of grain, bakery, confectionary product, mixed fodder and biofuel technologies

The department of grain, bakery, confectionary product, mixed fodder and biofuel technologies has more than 1000 students of daily and correspondence study. Students pretending for Specialist´s and Master´s degree of «Grain storage and processing technologies» can be prepared on one of the eight specializations and training programmes:
  1. «Grain primary processing and storage technologies»
  2. «Flour production technologies»;
  3. «Groat and other cereal production technologies»;
  4. «Mixed fodder production technologies»;
  5. «Biofuel technologies»;
  6. «Premix technologies»;
  7. «Fast food technologies»;
  8. «Automated designing of enterprises».

Students pretending for Specialist´s and Master´s degree of «Bakery, confectionary product, macaroni and food concentrate technologies» can be prepared on one of the six specializations and training programmes:

  • Confectionary product technologies;
  • Macaroni product technologies;
  • Food concentrate technologies;
  • Coffee and coffee-drink technologies;
  • Tea technologies.
Due to the extremely important role of bakery production and great necessity of specialists the state requirement of these specialities is traditionally high. Recent years the state requirement of specialists is about 100-120 places, 75-90 of them - on the speciality of «Grain processing and storage technologies», 25-30 of them - «Bakery, confectionary, macaroni product and food concentrate technologies». Entrants, who couldn´t pass the state requirement contest, have possibility to study on contract conditions: such contracts may be concluded by physical or juridical persons.

Bakery, confectionary, macaroni product and food concentrate manufacturing enterprises are highly mechanized complexes, which can be managed only by acknowledged and all-rounder specialists. It is such specialists who are prepared at our department.

Curriculums suppose wide range of humanitarian, scientific and technical disciplines, as well as cycle of special disciplines. Students of the department pass their professional training at the best branch enterprises.

Scientific work of the students is of great importance in our department. During it they capture skills of foodstuff analysis fulfilment without assistance; they solve complicated engineering tasks using personal computers.

Graduates of the department successfully take positions of technologists, workshop heads, laboratory superiors, chief engineers, directors of elevators, flour-grinding, cereal, mixed fodder mills, bread-baking plants, confectionary and macaroni manufactures. They also work at the enterprises of adjoining branches, respective scientific-research and designing organisations, lecture at higher and special-secondary educational institutions of our country.
